Instead of rotating the block in play, it rotates
the background and everything around the block
(as if the player was the block). Hard. To. Play.

That was fun!
First try: 59 lines, score of 14,860.
I feel slightly seasick now. But the spacial aspect didn’t bother me too much. However, sometimes the arrow keys jumped me two columns when I meant it to be one, which was annoying.
It is a little fast. I found that using the “Enter” key for “Drop” and the Spacebar for “rotate” was more confusing than the image roation. Last few Tetrises I played used Spacebar for drop - all of them. The “Up Arrow” was rotate, too - for all of them.
Y’know, that threw me too. Space should definitely be drop!
Tetris is one of those games by which you discover–if you have children–that your own spatial processing speed, and reflexes, have been so surpassed that you just sit there thinking…holyshiznit…
It’s quite a wake up call, because up until that point of discovery, you’ve always been the capable one…and then you realize you’re just old.
Actually, it’s also that I have crappy processing speed and hand/mind coordination. An adding machine amongst calculators. Hence, your mileage may, and most likely does, vary.
Oh…so I don’t think I’m gonna go there.
Try stacked-odds, best game since Don’t Shoot the Puppy*. Man, Tetris has spawned so many games.
*Won once. I have never done it again.
I just won Don’t Shoot the Puppy! But I think I had an advantage since I was on a laptop..
I used to like RPGs but my son gets to level 38 in the time it takes me to get to level 2.
Nowadays I like something pretty and restful, like this: Hanafuda! (“Flower Cards”. It’s what Nintendo made before they got into computer games!)
