Wanted: Irish Music

Hi everybody.

I’m looking for some good Irish music, though I dont know wich bands and players to search for. I’ve been listening to Donnal Lunny for a while now (all instrumental ofcourse), and have also found some good jigs at tinwhistletunes.com.
Since I play tinwhistle I most of all appreciate whistlers (such as Phil Hardy and McGoldrick), but I absolutly love pipers and all sort of irish instrumental music.

Any suggestions to artists or specific albums?

Paddy Keenan for pipes, Mary Bergin for whistle.

Hi Swedish-Banjo, I will be lazy and put down a couple of fairly threads that might help you. I put some of my favorite CD’s on the first thread. With pictures!

This one is more about places that sell or talk about Irish CD’s, which are sometimes hard to find:

We’re doing good, fiddler!

Fabulous whistle player here.

The piper on this one is pretty good, too.

Up Glendine!

Where do you start? :astonished:

Here’s a few sites to look at!

This CD, mostly just pipes and fiddle, with a couple of whistle tracks, too, is getting lots of play on my end (wait, that sounds weird . . .):

Kitty Lie Over

Lovely tunes there.
