I had a viking avatar for a long time but I can’t find it.
That’s probably because the Swede vikings traveled more to the east through Russia to Byzantium. Since the Danes and Norwegians liked to pillage western Europe and settled Iceland and Greenland, it’s gotten more attention in western history books.
This guy from Uppsala told me all the really tough Swedes were off with Gustavus Adolphus in the 17th century while the less tough stayed home thereby weakening the gene pool. Apparently he was making excuses for himself.
