This is an odd request, but here goes anyway… I am collecting photos of UPs, old and new, for art projects and just because I am obssessed with this, the greatest of all instruments. If you would, please send me photos of your instruments, or perhaps photos of other older and historic instruments. Feel free to send them directly to my email address which should be listed here. I would appreciate it greatly, ta’.

Thanks. They will not be used for commercial or any other anti-social or illegal purposes. I like to collect such things. Some folks like to collect stamps, figurines, balls of earwax…eeewwww…but me, I am into bagpipe photos. Not much of a life, eh? 
Oh yeah, if you send photos, and if you are so inclined, please include the pipe maker’s name…especially for photos of the historic pipes. Ta’.
There are a number of interesting old sets shown on my website in the “Gallery” section. If you want higher resolution photos e-mail me and will see what I can do. Am about to add some more to this section including a double chanter in the Taylor style but not by them.

Collages, photos to apply to my pipe case, photos to decorate (or overwhelm) the walls of my study, photo-shop fun. I am infatuated with the instrument, its design and the varied styles of the makers who bring the pipes to life. Sadly, there really aren’t any good sources of uilleann pipe photos at the local library, so I have asked folks who participate in this forum if they wouldn’t mind sharing photos of their bagpipes. I am particularly interested in older sets..ie Taylors, Egans, Coynes, Rowesomes… etc. But images of contemporary makers are certainly cool as well. Once again, this is not for commercial or any other profit based purposes. I’d like to develope an archive (if you will) of pipemakers past and present. To those of you who have sent me photos, and you know who you are, thanks again.
