Have a glorious day, Undisputed,
With planxties both whistled and fluted,
Though your visits are rare,
May you sense through the air,
All our wishes most humbly computed!
Nano, that cake is disturbing… Why is that deer’s head in the middle of the clouds like that? I don’t think I could eat a slice of that…I have the heebies.
And that’s exactly the nature of art: a mirror. You see a deer in clouds, I see one swimming through a murky dangerous river with a wild sky at the horizon, or just a buck’s head stuck offhandedly in a swirly blob cake colored like a 1960s Buick. Perfect for Dale, no?
Neither of us is wrong, but I do hate to point out that my interpretations are less interesting than yours is. And yes, the ambiguity is deliberate.
It’s a Darwinian extrapolation suggesting that if we mean to hunt deer from helicopters, we’ll have to evolve blue helicopters. Or blue flying deer. Geesh. It’s so obvious.
