Tunes and turns

I was listening to Kevin Crehan describe how Junior got the “Drunken Gauger”; how he got the tune but the turn escaped him. Is the tune the A part and the turn the B part?? And if so what do you call it when you have a 5 part tune?

Yes, the B part is usually called “the turn”. In tunes with more than two parts, its called a turnover, or maybe turn-and-turnabout, or if its really too complicated, a turn-off.
