Haven’t really got the hang of this. I’ll get something more sensible done during the week. Everyone will already know the ones so far. I’ll dig a bit deeper next time.
Very cool idea! Some months ago I spearheaded a short-run tin-whistle podcast. Wasn’t able to make a go of it, but it was certainly fun. Hope you find your site equally enjoyable (and that it lives a long, happy life).
Cool! I’ve always been clueless about a flutey setting for Pigtown. Thank you!!! And wonderful playing. I only made it partway through Lady on the Island before I had to run to a meeting, but I’m looking forward to listening later! Neat idea, good luck with it, and again … thank you!!!
Wow, I just got back and finished listening. Wow, wow, wow! Awesome!!!
The first tune’s The Lady on the Island (I like the beginning; it feels like Speed the Plough for a sec, there). Mr. Mighty Mike C lists the second tune as The Copperplate (we know it as The New Copperplate (as opposed to The Old Copperplate)) and the third tune as Fahy’s.
At the risk of being redundant, WOW! AWESOME!!! Thank you!!! MORE!!!
Thanks very much, Michael! It’s really nice to have these traditional tunes-I have very little in the way of traditional recordings, other than the WFOs (which are great), so it’s nice to have this now for me, and as you can see by the response-many others love it too!
