It’s a long shot, but surely pipers are men of such distinction and taste that there might be someone willing to trade bookbinding work for pipes… I am a bookbinder who does traditional leather work, gold tooling, etc. (You can see my shop at www.rorbooks.com) It’s just number juggling, really, but I could better satisfy the good woman that I wasn’t fiscally reckless if I was “trading” rather than just spending.
