Trade a Hoover Low-A for a ...?

I have a Hoover Low-A CPVC whistle that I’m not too thrilled with, it’s much too quiet for my liking. It’s about a year old and hasn’t been played for more than an hour total.

Rather than trying to sell it and buy another…would anyone be willing to make a trade for maybe a Susato, Shaw, or Dixon, one-piece, Low-A?

Thanks!!

John,

You would most likely get a greater volume on a one piece whistle. Any sharp edges in the bore on ultra low whistles affect the sound even more than regular whistles. A one piece whistle should avoid that situation.

Or… If you wish to try this. Smooth/round the edges inside the bore to your tuning coupler so that the air stream isn’t tripped by the edges. A tiny sharp edge can effectly restrict the bore efficiency to about 70% of normal.
