I’ve ordered a 24 inch Bflat Forest Bamboo Om Flute at Thomas Richardson a few weeks ago. http://www.thomasrichardsonmusic.com/node/20
It plays the minor pentatonic scale. I wanted it because I really wanted a flute to relax and meditate, even more than with my NAFlute.
I received it yesterday and it’s really beautiful. A bit of painting around the blowhole and the ‘OM’ symbol beneath it. The body is painten with black paint to make it look aged, like an instrument from thousands of years ago. In fact it’s about 26 inches and plays in A, but that’s no problem at all for me.
And it doesn’t only look good, it plays very good too! A very deep tone wich really calms you down and let you relax and forget about all your obligations in this busy world full of stress.
Please contact me with your address and the exact flute I made for you. I will make you a new one within my flute building schedule this month and I will send it to you by the end of this month free of any charges.
Please get back to me!
A thank you to Gilian [who is a great winds player] for sharing the flute he ordered from me within this thread. I have an MP3 of Gilian playing the forest flute on my website.
Your new 3 foot Arabian bamboo flute turned out excellent!
I look forward to sharing new MP3s of your performing on the 3 foot arabian flute on my website in March 2008. This time make that track a little longer so I have more to work with in Acid Pro 6.0.
