That’s even worse. If it’s shorter it just means they’ll play it more times and it’ll be even more repetitive and annoying.
A couple of times recently I’ve seen an ice cream truck driving around that plays square wave music that sounds like something from an old video game. Not too bad, but most of the trucks here are Mr. Softie trucks, and they play that high-pitched serial-killer-esque music box tune.
I think the tune Susan is referring to is one written in 1753 by Jean-Jacques Rousseau, which aside from its use as a hymntune is also used for “Go Tell Aunt Rhodie.”
