The Safe and Modern Way to Light Up Your Tree

I swear there are gremlins that live in the decoration boxes and short out the lights over the summer. Why else would lights that worked perfectly well when you put them away last year have several burned out bulbs when you get them out the following year?

I want to get some of those LED lights when they are marked down after Christmas. The only problem with the newer cooler lights is that I have 4 ornaments that have little fans inside that spin when the hot air hits them, and they don’t work with the cooler lights. So I hang them either where the heat from the heater comes up to them or where the sun shines through the window and heats up the air below.

A fiber optic tree would be neat too.

My husband used to have an old fire extinguisher that looked like a big light bulb. He found it at the dump, back before we had the waste-to-energy plant, and kept it for a long time. It finally broke.
