THE GREAT UILLEANN YOU-TUBE THREAD.

Is he lip-syncing (pipe-syncing)? That’s the best Liam O’Flynn-style piping I’ve ever heard

Not to mention the orchestral accompaniment!!

Something make me believe that this guy will not be playing the pipes even after 21 years..lol

I want to punch him for saying “yoooolean” so much haha. Poor guy obviously doesn’t have even basic information about which fingers cover the holes etc. Still, the last thing you want to do when you first try the pipes is try to sing over the top of them!!

It sounds like a baby! :astonished:

 Oooooohly-Ann! Yes, very funny. A deliberate wind-up, no?

I like the bellows strapped around his nipples. But watching him pop the reedcap off and on - twice - is going to haunt my nightmares. Oh, the hyooooooh-manity!

I sincerely hope he made a funny video about it, and that it’s all a joke…because if this is for real…wauw…!

I am NOT a huge Country/Western fan, (kinda think RenFaires are a bit hokey too…)

But I thought this vid was REALLY COOL!!!

Totally qualifies as out-of-the box playing!
& this is the kind of ‘uncharted’ stuff that really does it for me. Nice playing piper!

His very last comment (5:10) says it all!

Peter Browne, I love his Tight playing style!

His set sounds really nice too! Very, Ennis-y! Who made it?

The set was made by John Brogan but I don’t think the chanter is original. Might be Thompson or Kiernan?
The set was owned by James and Seamus Ennis too!
