The Eagle Rises

Michael Collins “The Big Fellow,” never knew he worked for NASA. :boggle:

3D glasses do not work on that pic. I just tried it.

And ye just happened to have a pair handy??

Slan,
D.

I think this kind of 3D needs the red/green lenses. I just tried the 3D glasses from Journey to the center of the world, they didn’t work. They’re the grey type. Could someone tell me what the grey type is actually called. I’d like to see 3D pics on line that work with these glasses.

Exactly. That’s it. My kid had them sitting around from the same movie.
(That’s how Dubh!)

There you go!

The grey glasses are polarised-light glasses. They would work in a cinema, but technology has not yet (I think) reached that pitch where you could work it on your computer monitor. The APOD people mention it’s a red-blue image, so those kind of glasses would be best. Red-green might work.

Actually, the Eagle pic works with red/blue glasses if you keep the image small. It’s when the image gets blown up to fill the screen that the separation is too wide. Shrink the image down and it works out to three planes: the Eagle module, the lunar surface, and Earth rising on the horizon.

Stare at the gray photogs and refocus your eyes. The 3D will jump out at you. Warm-up exercise: try it on bathroom tile.

Indeed…

Slan,
D.

Well, then…there goes that idea :stuck_out_tongue: I have 11 of them hanging around, lol.

Nevermind, it was 10…and mine worked  I just had to try…any excuse to get the 3D glasses out.
