I recently bought a tin whistle and it came with a book but no cd. I went to the Clarke website, and all I saw was the entire package of book, whistle, and cd, but not cd separately. Anyone know where I can just find the cd? I don’t want another book or the whistle.
It looks like you can get it at Bill Ochs’ website:

Which kind of whistle did your set come with? A Clarke orginal, which is black painted and old fashioned with a wooden fipple block, or a Sweetone, which is a modern one with a plastic fipple? Or perhaps something else?
Thanks for the info!
it is a Clarke original, I just started learning to play, and I have got
Merrrily we roll along down. I got it as Music Go Round, but I guess someone turned it in without the cd. It is brand new otherwise. Am looking forward to this weekend to get some quality learning in
I also learned with a Clarke original, and while it has a pretty sound, you may find that hitting high notes can suck the air right out of your lungs. It may not be a problem for you, but if it is, keep in mind that not all whistles require as much air.
I ended up getting a handful of cheap whistles to experiement with when I was learning – some definitely worked better for me than others. As I developed better breath control, the more challenging whistles became easier for me to play, but in the beginning it helped to shop around for a cooperative one.
You can smush down the windway with your thumb a small bit to help with the air requirements, not too hard though as the metal will bend out on the sides of the fipple block.
You can also wreck it. I advise simply playing it for a (very) little while. Barring emphysema or a collapsed lung, you will very very quickly discover that you have more than enough air for a whistle.
well… today i got on the mail a sweetone, a mellow d, a little black and a clarke’s o.
well… black was love at first …sight… now… clarkes is. like blowing with a punctured lung.
awefull… still, i have no breath control whatsoever. im whistling for the pst 2 months so dont pay me any attention.
still… argh… my head aches after 3 minutes of trying the clarke!
still… it does sound… haunting somehow… i will keep on trying ![]()
You will develop more lung capacity and control as you continue to play.
The tip of mashing down the top of the windway can help a lot, but as noted be careful not to do it too much.
