Telegram Sam's Completely Random Post of the Day (3/2)

What’s](http://www.elvish.org/elm/names.html%22%3EWhat%27s) Your Name in Elvish?

Just call me Neume.

Ecco

What kind of cruddy Elvish name is “Ecco”? Sounds like some cheesy petrochemical corporation. Nuts to that.

Veasse, at your service!

“Erucolindo”, which obviously would be shortened and anglicized to ‘Erik’, at which translated
again brings us around to “Oitur” … which must be similar to the logic that gets from Sam
to Neume…

Nuts -in- that anyway! I think it sounds like candy</A](http://www.necco.com/candies.htm">candy</A)> to me…

MELISSA (f.) - Greek ‘a bee’; nion, nier “honey-bee”, thus Nione or Niere

sounds more like I should be in some Arthurian legend than elf.

Missy

My real name isn’t sam, silly.

:astonished: Next you’ll be telling us that you aren’t actually a telegraph operator, and that that
isn’t really your picture! :astonished:

My name in Elvish is Meldon.

Strange…strikes me as something written on a brown bottle lying around for years in me Grannys medicine cabinet.

Still, could be worse I suppose…

Slan,
M.

Ecco is a brand of high-priced shoes.

I’m not sure I wish to be addressed in Elvish, as “my name,” Cotume means “enemy.”

I’m Oricon . Intersting name, that one is! And I had to use my real name. There was no izz to be found! :astonished:

Seems my Greek/Quenya name (from my ‘real’ name) is “Illisse.” Cool! It’s rather lovely. Much better than my real one.
