I just got a Sweetone & Generation D whistles.
Is there anything that I need to know about them?
The Sweetone plays real easy, sounds good & plays the high notes real well.
The Generation is like my Feadog but better.
Thanks for the help!!
They’re not very edible.
Quit typing and play them.
Don’t get them wet and don’t play them after midnight.
I like my Generation and Sweetone pretty well. Seems to me they are pretty low maintenance.
And they improve remarkably with play. No, I don’t think they really “play in” - but I know that my Sweetones (and my Generations, after minor tweeks) sound a lot better in my hands now than they did when I first got them.
Cheap or not, a good Sweetone or Generation is a pretty good whistle. As is an Oak, once you have the breath control down. Mine are probably still much better whistles than I am a whistler.
I may prefer my Serpents (or other premium whistles like the Burkes, Copelands, Abells, or Overtons I tried last weekend), but really, you’re paying the extra money for consistancy and that last 5 percent in performance. And a good whistler like Tony Higgins, or Limuhead, or many others on the board with either would sound a lot better than a duffer like me on a Burke or Copeland.
