Straight flute

Hi,

I’ve seen John Hackett playing a sort of straigth flute in Steve Hackett’s ‘Hungarian Horizons’ DVD (there’s an online video sample here:

I didn’t see a flute like that before, and, being a flutist with some neck problem, that instrument seemed like a vision. Does anyone of you have some information about this ‘peculiar’ instrument? I really appreciate some clue.

All flutes are actually straight… I would should said “vertical” instead. Just a nonsense of mine…

I’m pretty sure there was one (or more) of them in Jessie’s picture of her flute collection.
