We still have plenty of room in the piping program at PEI Fiddle Camp. If you haven’t heard of it, PEI Fiddle Camp is very special. It is unique in North America as a program that fully integrates pipers into the wider folk music community, and has been part of the camp from the moment of the camp’s inception.
Are you interested in playing with fiddlers and banjo players and accordionists? This is where you can learn the tunes, and the language of the folk music world. The staff pipers at PEI fiddle Camp grew up in the Pipe Band world, so they know your language. But they are now just a fluent in the language of the folk music world. Come let them teach you. Come to PEI and you will play with other instruments, learn “session etiquette” and be able to bring home the tools and skills to confidently join in with the fiddlers and other folk musicians in your area.
Bellows and Mouth-Blown smallpipes are what we use in classes. But practice chanters in A are available for rent, as well as a few bellows blown sets of smallpipes.
Flights are available to several airports nearby. Arrangements can be made to pick you up and drop you back off. Car pooling from areas in the Northeast US is also available. Just get in touch. It is so worth it!
