Hello Folkies as ye may be aware it is Valentines Day on Monday or.ye may well not be aware ,cos lets face it being a Uilleann Piper does not lend itself very easily to …shall we say romantic encounters with others who may not be bitten wi the bug so to speak.(piping bug not lurv)
However fear not fellow unloved ones ye too can feel good and send to an unknown person a very special Valentine.
I am of course talking aboot a donation tae the Will Ye Make a Difference Appeal.
So far the response has been a little hesitant with just 3 donations but those three donations believe it or not will cure 5 people of Leprosy.I cannot think of any greater love than that .
I should also point out that there is no minimum donation to enjoy the chance of the prize I am offering and I may well increase the prize to include other goodies.
The Grand Priory of Great Britain of the Order of St Lazarus decided last weekend at a Council meeting to support specifically a village in the Rufiji District of Tanzania;
Kindwitwi was once an old-style leper colony but is now a thriving village;
Kindwitwi Leprosy Care Centre plays a vital role in leprosy awareness and education as well as in the treatment and eradication of leprosy in the Rufiji District;
So to gently remind ye all that any donation no matter how small will make a difference
