For sale: Brad Angus narrow bore D chanter in cocobolo, with imit ivory mounts and brass ferrols. Barrel-style D sharp and regular C natural keys. Wood reedcap, no stop valve. Has a working reed but would perform better with a newer one. Requires a tiny piece of wire in the staple to flatten out D"'. In good condition. Best offer plus postage. Reason for sale: Been hoarding too many instruments and not playing them…time to thin out the herd. Will consider trade for Burke high G whistle.
Cheers,
Dave

What’s that?
Any chance of seeing a photo of the chanter?
Yeah, we want pictures. ![]()

Barrel style sounds to me like it is not a “spoon handle” type of key rather it wraps the shaft of the chanter like a ring.
That’s exactly what it does… it wraps around the chanter barrel, rather than running parallel with the length of it. Easy peasy to play..
