Seriously, if you can’t reduce a pile of coins to slag, you’re just not trying hard enough.

Those little things? Those aren’t Fresnel lenses. This is a Fresnel lens:

Pigeon Point lighthouse here in CA, with a huge first-order Fresnel. they light the Fresnel once a year, and you can see those pencil-rays of light spinning around as the lens rotates. Pretty impressive.
