Seven Years Of Listening

There’s a live recording of Mick O’Brien and Caoimhín O Raghallaigh called ‘Seven Years of Listening’ listed over at thesession.org, recorded at an SCUPC tionól a few years back. After making inquiries, I believe it’s no longer in print. I’ve learned a lot by listening to Mick’s piping, burned holes through Kitty Lie Over by repeated listening, and would dearly love to hear this… can anybody help me find a copy?

I’m sure many of those who originally put this recording out are users of this forum… if I can support the SCUPC by making a donation for a copy, let me know, I’m glad to. Also willing to put this away on the ‘you had to be there’ shelf if this request is considered out of line.

Yes, it’s out of print. If you’ve already contacted

AND

then you’ve covered the bases.

I understand that the Socal pipers were only selling this to people who attended their events/meetings. In other words, not to people who ordered by mail, internet, etc.

The reason has something to do with not competing with MOB and COR’s other recording, Kitty Lie Over (an outstanding album in itself).

Yes, “cease and desist,” to coin a phrase.

No E

Roger. Now erasing memory of said recording. Please don’t mention it in the future, it may cause me to question reality.

Hm, I have a recording of 2003 Willie Clancy’s summer school by those two - resp. there is more of them, but they play some nine tracks.

It it legal if I post it somewhere? I am not sure how it is with legal stuff etc.

Here’s a YouTube clip of MOB and CR in California in 2004:
