Are there any Sgitheanaich on C & F by any chance? I’ll be taking a Gaelic class at Sabhal Mòr Ostaig the week of the 24th of August. Does anybody know if there’s still a session at the Armadale Inn? It was pretty fun, I seem to recall… Will there be any other sessions going on in Sleat or other places on Skye at that time?
I don’t really know the scene around Sleat (I know a few musos there so I could ask) but there is a fantastic session in the Cellar Bar in Dunvegan on Thurday nights, a session on Sunday afternoons in the Edinbane Hotel, Edinbane, and a session in Portree on Wednesdays in what might be the Bosville Hotel.
At one point there were tunes in the Eilean Iarnan Hotel but the person I know who was running them has moved back to Edinburgh so I have no clue if that is still going.

Dunvegan might be a bit far for me to get to (unless I find other crazy musos to hitch with…), as I’m not planning on hiring a car while I’m there, but the Portree one might be doable…
