I think the session is pretty unreliable as far as transcriptions go. Best resource if you are looking for the way a tune is most likely played in a session is http://www.norbeck.nu/abc/

I thought transcriptions tended to change from session to session. The nice thing about thesession.org is that, more than likely, they will have more than one version of the tune and this can definately help when someone is playing only the 3 part version of Kid on the Mountain rather than the 5 part I am accustomed to.
