I should point out that the original request is years old and the pictures are several months old. I posted the link here because I thought the folks who sent whistles originally would want to see them. Presumably the guy who did this will be able to send the whistles somewhere useful even if he’s no longer in Iraq, but it might be a good idea to make sure there is still a need before mass shipments begin again.
Good point, I doubt the Major is stiill in country, and several of the APO
adresses have changed in the past year. If you are planning on sending
any, make sure you have a current contact and address. If items are sent
to a defunct APO they could sit in a warehouse for months, and would
probably never make it to Iraq.
