Dear RIGHT HAND POINTING Friends,
I am pleased to announce a new web-chapbook, Allan Peterson’s ANY GIVEN MOMENT. It is now on the web at
http://www.righthandpointing.com/allan_peterson/
It’s also available in .pdf form at:
http://www.righthandpointing.com/allan_peterson/anygivenmoment.pdf
for those of you who would prefer to print it out and read it off-screen.
There are joys in editing literary works. You get to read good stuff. You get to share it with others. You get to become acquainted with a lot of writers. I’ve had no greater pleasure from editing RHP than to work with Allan Peterson, read his work, and now, particularly be able to present this collection of his poems appearing for the first time on RIGHT HAND POINTING.
Psychodrama
Today a woman in frustration
spoke to a gas pump
and it spoke back saying depress the lever
and try again
So she told it how things went bad for her
confiding an anger so deep
that nearby sparrows startled and departed
from the looming sign
that said Goodyear with the flying foot

In other news, I continue to read for Issue 9, which I’m hoping will be ready by December or January. I’ve been somewhat delayed in making decisions on some of the submissions. If I still have some of your work for #9 and you haven’t heard from me yet, please do be patient. I’m working through these and should be caught up by next week. In the meantime, I still have some room in that issue, so don’t hesitate to submit.
Issue 10 will be all fiction. Flash-fiction, I suppose, because we’ll observing a word-limit on those, consistent with our hort-attention-span editorial affliction. It will be guest-edited. More about that in a subsequent mailing. If you are interested in this project, send an email to dale@righthandpointing.com with “flash” in the subject line and I’ll make sure you get subsequent mailings about that project.
Thanks for your support!
Best regards,
Dale Wisely
