Removing Paint

I just dropped my precious Clarke whistle on the floor (the one with the lame diamonds) and some of the paint chipped off the mouthpiece. AS long as the mouthpiece looks like a dog got it, I figure I might as well take it all off. Any suggestions as to how I could do this best?

Play the Kesh full bore on a Generation G.

Play 3rd-octave scales on the Clarke for 18 minutes, and buff it with extra-fine steel wool.

well if that paint chipped off that easily…this may sound crazy…but try some paint thinner.

Ummm… give it to a bigger dog??

Fire? :astonished:

What about really fine steel wool?

Don’t bother. The ding gives it character, and the paint on the rest of it will play off in time…
