Starting to get the hang of the reed making thing. Getting some extras ready to store for later.
What are your collective favorite methods for storing reeds?
Thanks

Stick 'em in a chanter and play 'em. ![]()

Reeds need to be played regularly to keep themselves happy. If you put a reed aside for say, three months, and then try to play it, you will note a big change in its playability.
Make a bunch of reeds, and swap them out everyother day or so.
I use an Altoids tin. I use the same thing for drone reeds, staples, bridles, ect. I eat the mints first to make more room. ![]()

My uncle had them altoids, but he had an operation to get them removed. His nose was swollen for months afterwards. ![]()

I use an Altoids tin.
outta curiousity, does this permeate your practice area with a curiously strong mint aroma?
