Recording our debut album "Fiddle & Flute" in April...

Chiff & Fipplers,

On April 13, Natalie Padilla, Peter Romero and I are going into the studio to record our debut album “Fiddle & Flute!”

With any project like this, it’s always those closest to you - friends, family, peers & supporters - that help make it happen. For the past decade, this community has been for me a constant source of encouragement, good information & FUN.

Between the gig money we’ve squirreled away and the little bit Whistle & Drum is able to contribute, we have about enough to get through tracking. After crunching the real numbers, we realize we have to raise quite a bit more to get the project off the ground. To raise the rest we’re inviting you to join in on the FUNdraising through Kickstarter.

As many of you know, Kickstarter is an innovative all-or-nothing approach to raising funds for creative projects through the offering of rewards to backers. Which, in our case, is anything from exclusive pre-release track downloads to signed albums to house concerts, etc…

It’s a humbling thing asking for support - but it reminds me again of how much community matters and how we as musician-artists need to keep paying it forward with our creative offerings.

If you’d like to help by either becoming a backer or spreading the word further, visit our project page by clicking the banner below…

Thank You!

Glad to be able to help with this project.

Getting in return the CD, sheet music and access to your online trainings. Seems a win-win situation to me.

Best of luck reaching the target amount!

Looks good. Count me in.

@osage59 & @Folk312 Thank you!

So this is crazy, I just checked the music/popular page and we’re at the bottom of the first page?!

Awesome considering there is 53 pages of music projects! Represent!

And right next to an old friend from Nashville - Andy Osenga - what fun!

Blayne posted his appeal with the permission of the Mods, and we’re going to “sticky” this topic for a while.

Many thanks!

Just got this CD for my birthday.
Really good listening!

I’m really taken with the reel Poor But Happy At 53.
(no reason)

It is an excellent CD…I listen to this one a lot and have picked up several tunes from it.
