PJ Crotty has died today after a long struggle with leukemia

I only met him once, briefly, but feel I knew him through his music. That CD he did recently with James and Carol Cullinan, “Happy to Meet,” is one of my all-time favorite fiddle-flute duet albums, full of great tunes and playing, a classic.

Interestingly Clare FM just played the opening track of the CD but without the piano the guitar the bouzouki and the bodhran track. I didn’t miss them at all.
