This scam like the Nigerian one, targets the relatively unsophisticated user. And it in no way indicates that people should be reticent about using PayPal to pay for their online purchases. What you must do, is to protect your own accounts, and that is relatively simple to do. Just type in the url http://www.paypal.com when needed, rather than using a link. That way, you know you’re actually going to PayPal, and not PayPalThief

I got this email yesterday from the PayPal scam. Went to the same place as the AOL request for information. I find those to be hysterical because tyghress@aol.com isn’t the master name of the account.
