Appreciate all the suggestions very much. I did increase memory and I’m now at 128 x 3, which is the max for this machine.
XP has generally slowed my system, but I really don’t think XP is the problem. For several weeks after I installed XP, everything functioned ok. Something happened about 10 days ago to specifically screw with audio-video. Audio & video are the only problems I am having. I have a feeling the issue is some driver that is employed by both audio & video.
Anyway, I’m working on it.
