OT: A Modest and (possibly Un-) Reasonable Proposal

The thread in question was an OT thread that veered
ten or 12 pages in. I hadn’t noticed threads about
music veering into politics or social issues–maybe
they do, though. Well, the request that people think
twice before so doing may by itself have a
sobering effect. Best

It seemed as though you were calling a bunch of different people a bunch of names. Actually, that wouldn’t be surprising over here .

I noted your changes Cran after replying but I didn’t change your original words because, even taken out of context, that was a fair response to what I’d actually said. I certainly wasn’t going to weasel out of a piece of very poor expression by accusing you of reading it out of context, not when I was criticising others for poor concentration.

Oh, no…I dn’t mean to imply I wanted you to change the quotes, I was just telling you why I changed the wording to make it less harsh, because eventually I realised what you really meant, even though it wasn’t clear at first. I just didn’t want you to be thinking I did it for some other shady reason for changiing the words.

I don’t think either of us are really paying attention very well.
