The photo is made up of multiple shots, cuz the reality is far less than advertised. I remember the first time I made the effort to find a dark sky and stay up all night looking for the Perseid showers. Those feint little streaks of light last for only a fraction of a second, and are seldom as bright as what appears in the photo. At first I thought it was just sleep deprivation playing tricks with my eyes. I was reall PO’d when I realised that this was as good as it was going to get.
My back still gets up when some idiot on the radio starts babbling about staying up to watch the meteor showers. Yeah, right.
