tap o the mornin to ya
Paddy here, having just joined the site & the person the post refers to. Thanks Dave, & all who replied. I will consider your suggestions. Im really looking forward to the challenge of learning to play the tin whistle.
The email to Dave as follows, and I look forward to meeting you all.
Hi Dave
Allow me to introduce myself, and indeed my reason in writing. Im Paddy, 38, (Climb the hill stage of life), and for all my sins, I live with Caroline my partner, plus our two little horrors, and from Belfast NI
My reason for writing is a desire I have to play the penny whistle. I usually have a couple always lying around my home, somewhere, but `hopefully up until now, having discovered your website, learn to now play and display!
Now, for the difficult part. I was involved in a car crash in September of 99, which resulted in a Brachial Plexus injury, leaving my left arm and hand paralysed. I also have half of my left thumb missing.
Taking this into account, can you advise me on any implications, (basically in lay mans terms, can I or Cant I)!,that you may foresee?, if any. I would like to be able to play the whistle,at say parties, funerals etc etc..Anyway! Hopefully Ill hear from you soon with your thoughts if any, and thanks for taking the time to read my email.
Good Luck ![]()
