OK, I have been learning the whistle now for several months, and recently have become interested in learning how to play a practice chanter. Any tips you-all can offer a beginner would be helpful…

Or maybe I should just back away slowly from the idea? :laughing:

As a piper, I recommend that you invest in a well made practice chanter, one not made in Pakistan. Get an instructor if you can and be prepared to practice a lot.
