You never know…somebody probably believes it.

Probably. There are self-proclaimed Jedi out there, after all.

Now, for those of you who are among the enlightened (i.e., those of you who saw the Popeye movie), there is another answer: Swee’pea is a foundling! Olive Oyl and Popeye discovered him in a basket with a note.
What this means theologically, I have no idea! ![]()

Who gets to be the pope?
Popeye does have the word “pope” in his name…

Doesn’t everybody say it that way?

Didn’t there used to be an old lady named Moses who started painting at the age of 90 and became a world famous artist? Or am I making all of that up?

Ha ha ha! I am so glad she was real. I remember seeing a picture of her and her story but I couldn’t remember anything about her.
The phrase “Grandma Moses Gallery” is so cool to say. ![]()

That’s right Grandma: Moses.
my two boys and I fight over green olives with pits!!
And I’ve gotten them jars for presents before, too.
Fly - you should have gotten up to Jungle Jim’s while you were here - they have an entire olive BAR there! Every type of olive, and flavor, imaginable.
Remind me at Caesar Creek to give you directions to Jungle Jim’s.
Missy
Perhaps you could PM me with directions. We’ll be there by early afternoon on Friday so it would give us something to check out.
Olive seeds are seedy.
I’d like to add that Popeye had red hair though it was rarely seen due to his hat.
I also knew a woman who looked like Alice the Goon. Sad really.

That museum and gallery is about 45 min from where I live. If you’re ever passing through southern Vermont, it’s worth a look. Robert Frost is buried in the cemetary right next door.
