Well the Fylde and the Peterson both look pretty darn nice to me and that Celtic Cross one could even be the best of the bunch. You really never know till you have it in hand though I’ve had some pretty good luck with Ebay. More good than bad. The current bids make them pretty tempting.
I’ve had good luck on the Mandolin Cafe classifieds even with brands that most folks there turn their nose up at. (to be read: brands people have sold because they’re embarassed to admit they’ve owned.) Most of those folks have moved beyond amateur/hobbiest status, which, given my age and talent, I never will do. If you’re in the market for a nice Octave, you might have a peek over there though. There’s a lot of knowledge and experience documented in that site. I know you can’t make a silk purse out of a sow’s ear, but I have a couple of exceptional sounding sow’s ears from there.
