The C session was absolute heaven. I could have gone home then and been happy the rest of the year.* “The Boy in the Gap” and “Shaving the Baby with a Spoon.” And extending the porch light metaphor ad absurdem with Tom and Skip – the best laugh I’ve had in ages.

at your description of Liz Carroll’s set. That’s perfect! Stephanie Benson said it sounded like she was trying to bring Tommy Potts back from the dead. -
Liz’s composition class was a real mind-opener. I’d never even tried to write a tune before, and then I wrote two in 15 minutes! Unbelievable. She’s a terrific teacher.

It was also a treat to hear Tim and Stephanie Benson. I was so glad they decided to play. I’ve had the pleasure of catching them at several events over the last year and they’ve got such a neat sound.

Speaking of composition and Nick Whitmer, he wrote a lovely tinwhistle tune a la Micho Russell. It’s a good one, and dear Lord I love his whistle playing!

How daggoned nice and considerate everyone always is. I give much credit to the board and the kind of people who are on it, but basically the Northeast Tionol is a model for world peace.
