NorCal Chiffers...'tis the season!

Come hear me and about 40 of my closest friends sing!

Once again, I’m singing in (and helping to produce) Mary Mc Laughlin’s “A Gaelic Christmas” concert. This year we have two performances: a matinee in Oakland, on December 13, at 3:00 p.m., at The Chapel of the Chimes, 4499 Piedmont Av., Oakland; and an evening performance in Santa Cruz on December 19, at 8:00 p.m., at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 126 High St., downtown Santa Cruz.

This is really an awesome concert, guys. This will be our third year (and we’ve sold out multiple performances in each of our previous years). The concert features original choral arrangements of Christmas music – both traditional Irish carols and well-known European carols – in the Irish language, as well as solo performances by renowned Irish singer Mary Mc Laughlin. This year we’ll also be joined by Libby Mc Laren’s “Winterberry Carollers” – a women’s vocal ensemble – as well as by harper Steve Coulter and fiddler and bodhrán player Theo Paige. And once again, yours truly is singing in the small ensemble!

I’d love to see some of you at one of the concerts!

Tickets are available at http://www.brownpapertickets.com (search on “Gaelic Christmas”) or at the door (though advance purchase is strongly advised, particularly for the Oakland concert, as the venue there is rather small).

Come see us!
