I had a nice, long chat with him on Saturday. He was gracious and full of good stories. I am quite certain that farm life in West Clare in the '50s and '60s was not always a bed of roses. Still, when I think of all the great music he was exposed to, I am filled with envy.
He plays Thursday night at the Philadelphia irish Center.
