I have one factory second boxwood Folk Flute available, and some factory second Mopane standard flutes (3 or 4). $200 including shipping if in the US, $220 including shipping if outside the US. Email me first and plan to pay through PayPal only. These have glued up or pinned cracks and other defects but still play and are nice and stable. Sold as is with no warranties or case.
If interested email me at caseyburnsflutes@gmail.com (please do this rather than “Private Messaging” me through Chiff and Fipple) First come first served.
NOTE: Sale ended - these are all now spoken for! Check back in May - I’ll have some more by them.
If they are nice and stable, may I respectfully ask why they are sold with no warranties ?
Thanks.
It seems to me this is Casey’s prerogative. The question you raise is perhaps best taken
up by e mail.

Simply said: pre-existing conditions.
I offer these as a service to those who can’t afford the more expensive flutes of my regular line, but would like a great flute to play. These play just the same and are a fantastic deal. $200 for a boxwood wooden flute by a top maker, even with cosmetic flaws.

Wow, good deals, Casey! Wish I could have had the chance to buy one of these when I was starting out, and didn’t want to spend much, or more accurately, couldn’t afford to put a lot into my first flute.
The Standards in Mopane are especially a great deal at $200 with shipping for a flute that normally goes for $600 plus shipping-not too hard to do the math on that! I really like Casey’s flutes (I have 3 now!), and love my Boxwood Folk Flute too! You would be surprised to hear the big voice Casey gave them! But sweet too, and so light in weight they will spoil you!
Thanks for giving back to the flute community and making these 2nds available Casey-somebody’s going to be happy!
Barry
If only I had a spare $200 lying around…
