Moloney/Potts CD

Anybody else have trouble with Moloney and Potts Tin Whistles CD? I bought two different Cds and neither would play.

No, my copy plays well. I had a second copy sent to me by mistake but I returned it so I can’t help you out with a good copy.

Mine works great. It’s when I try to play like them that the problems start.

Mine plays, but the first second or so of the first cut is chopped off. Not sure I would’ve noticed but that I’m familiar with the recording via my friend’s old LP

Strange they dont play at all for you: are you playing it in a normal CD player?

I just bought this CD last week and it has worked fine the last 341 times I listened to it.
Mike

I have had mine for years and it still plays in my CD player and computer CDROM.

Of course, I have ripped it and encoded to oggvorbis for my “Irish Jukebox”

Don’t expose them to direct sunlight and store in a cool dark place for the longest lasting CDs.

WHAT!! - Moloney and Potts??? :astonished:

Just my little joke. It’s a shame that Sean Potts isn’t more recorded than he is,since he left ‘The Chieftains’.
I have the re-release of his ‘Bakerswell’ album from the 1980’s.
He’s a darned fine Whistle player I.M.H.O.

Absolutely one of the best!

Is that out on CD now? Darn, I just recorded, edited, and noise reduced my tape and made me a CD from it.

Of course it is in my oggvorbis “juke box” too. It’s still a thrill everytime I hear either one come up.

I bought my copy ,oh,about 18months-2 years ago.Micky Hand on Flute,Sean og Potts on Pipes(HOW old was he then?).
