Mickey Rourke

I just saw the Barbara Walters interview with Mickey Rourke. I found that I liked the guy. Barbara Walters asked him what it would mean to him to win the Oscar. After saying that it would mean a great deal and would be an honor to win it, in the end, he said of the Oscar, “You can’t eat it, you can’t f*** it, and it won’t get you into Heaven.”

Not bad.

I’ve been a fan for a long time..Mickey not Barbara..a fine actor.

Nice to see him getting recognised even though he is a bit hard to recognise these days.

Always kinda struck me as the Colin Farrell of his day..or vice versa.

Slan,
D.

The Wrestler is perhaps the best performance I have seen of Rourke’s to date. If he does take home an Oscar, I will be very happy for him.

Now that’s perspective. I hope his
acceptance speech would’ve lived up to that…

The Pope of Greenwich Village used to be on TV a lot and I watched it every time.

I like him, he is a great actor, but I feel sorry for what plastic surgery did to him.
