Does anybody know who is the maker?

The maker is Tim Adams, a Dublin man who lives near me in Malmö, Sweden. Tim’s flutes are in tune and good value for the money.

Thank you for this link. I’ve bought it from seller who didn’t know nothing about maker. The flute is very responsive and quite loud. Louder than my M&E. My one is made of purpleheart with brass rings.

That is an early model of a Tim Adams Irish Flute, probably around 2014. I am the maker.

Tim - the Fnat insert is ingenious! If you added an Eb/D# plug, one for G# and Bb…you’d be offering the next best chromatic option ot keys, which of course handle accidentals better if the accidental does not persist throughout the tune.

Thanks! Yes, the scale changer plugs are fun and useful. They came about after often wanting to move to a minor tune and having to pick up a cold classical flute and warm that up. Where I am (Sweden) people often want an F natural for their music. Now they get one.

There are no cultures without music. So making music is important, to the player, the listener and the society. Being part of the support mechanism for the player is a unique privilege.
