‘Subaru’ is Japanese for a star cluster in the Taurus constellation. It consists of six stars, identical to FHI. The largest star, just as in our logo, represents our parent company’s key role and contributions in engineering.
This cluster is known to us as the “Pleiades”. In Japanese, Subaru refers to a group, or a gathering together, as in to govern as one. This ideal star formation represents the Subaru family perfectly.
