Which lubricant is best?
I think you’d be hard pushed to find a better lubricant. I hadn’t considered lubricating a whistle of any point till now but I’ve learned something today. Thanks for the enlightenment 
I’m letting the reins of WHOAD go and buying whistles in complete sets.

Yes that is the proper way, and that is the best lubricant to use. Though I would never lube any of my whistles that way without thoroughly cleaning them both before and after.

I did notice that… 
I think they call it the backwhack and the ostrich. And if you want to check for details, the pennywhistler left a courtesy sip for the cup holder to enjoy.

funny, but I emphatically do NOT recommend this for wooden whistles!
