I have saved and scrimped enough money to buy a practice set of Uilleann Pipes.
Could anyone suggest makers who are local who take orders…by local I mean preferably within the UK?
Failing this antone know where the best place would be to look for a good used practice set?

Ray Sloan has recently updated his website. There was a note indicating he was only going to do narrow bore D chanters… that message has been removed. He also announced full sets are available as well as flat pitch pipes.

I have been playing a practice set by Davy Stephenson which were loaned to me by a friend. They are a very nice set, but I understand from my friend that problems have arisen through another set he has purchased.
I want to know that the maker from who I buy a set will stand by them and carry out adjustment/repairs if need be, not just take the money and flee!.
