Nah. I’ve found some things in it that I feel right to quibble about, which, as an underedjumacated smelly man on the street, pleases me to no frickin’ end. For example, in Rare Three-Letter Words, the word “wen” is defined as an “enormously congested city”, but it doesn’t include the more usual, and already known to me, definition of a boil or cyst on the skin. And in Forms of Worship: almost everything on the list ends in “-olatry”, which seems not only uninspired but incomplete for that, somehow. But I’m not the expert.
As an aside, there would be no point to calling someone an aischrolator (“worshipper of filth”, three words that together have the very force lacking in the word they define). It has no ring, no currency, no descriptive wealth. The accused would not bleed from it. Nevertheless it’s still fun to root around in the website, and it’s gratifying when I find words I didn’t know but my habituated user’s sense of Latin or Greek in English carries the day. But as for “aischrolatry” (such a twee word), I had no clue whatsoever.
